DESCRIPTION of CLASS OPTIONS
As you progress in your Yoga practice, take the time to pause frequently and ask,
“Who am I becoming through this practice? Am I becoming the kind of person I would like to have as a friend?"

Chair Yoga
Establishing a breathing practice, improving strength and balance are the objectives of this more gentle session of yoga. This class may be a good starting place for beginners; those who have lower energy, or have not exercised for a good length of time. It is designed for every body; those with limited range of movement or those with chronic pain. The class will include intentional breathing practice (breath initiated movement) with gentle postures that focus on strengthening and restoring your ability to balance. We will make use of a chair during most of the class in addition to any or all of the following: the floor, the wall, blankets, bolsters, blocks, and a strap.*
Yoga- All Levels
This class will follow the Inner Axis principles of breath initiated movement to experience the effects of intentional breathwork and healthy alignment of the body in posture work. This produces improved strength of the body and core, greater flexibility, improved balance, and more focused concentration. This yoga class is intended to be a balanced class of activity with rest, strength with flexibility, and effort with ease. This class is taught in a multi-level fashion with attention given to the needs of individual students with options given for comfort and support. We will make use of any or all of the following to support the advancement of your practice: the floor, the wall, a chair, blankets, bolsters, blocks, and a strap.*
Community Class
Any community class will be a multilevel class, as described above, or a special interest class.
*There will be some mats, blankets, straps, and blocks available. However, if you have your own personal props, please bring them to class with you.
Most people attend yoga class from one to three times a week. My desire is that instruction would enable and empower you to learn simple techniques in class to take home and use in your everyday life. How we stand, sit, walk, breathe, and sleep away from class-off the mat and in your life-is truly of utmost importance.
